In September 2015, Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs, Asia-Pacific, Google, Mr. Michael Nelson and Chairman of APAC Creative Council, J. Walter Thompson Asia Pacific, Mr. Lo Sheung Yan, were invited to give talks on “Markets are Conversations” and “Big Idea. Big Data. Which is Bigger?” respectively. In the first talk of the Conversations with Communicators series, Mr. Nelson shared his vision for public relations in the face of changing technologies, and how it is possible to stay authentic, relevant, and local in a world that is globally connected. In the second talk, Mr. Lo discussed with students how the rise of big data, digital and social media is changing the way we think and the influence it has on advertising creativity.
