Opening Ceremony of C-Centre
The C-Centre, the Centre for Chinese Media and Comparative Communication Research was established by the School of Journalism and Communication at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2012. Officiated by Prof. Anthony Fung, School Director and Prof. Joseph Chan, Director of the C-Centre, the Opening Ceremony was held on 25 January 2013. Many guests including renowned communication scholars from Greater China were present at the ceremony to congratulate its establishment.
In the opening speech, Prof. Joseph Chan said: “The C-Centre aims to contribute to the communication discipline by conducting frontline research on media in Greater China and comparative communication research. It also aspires to be the hub of exchange among communication scholars from around the world.”
