Monday.COME "Professor Lau Siu Kai: Out from the Backstage"
For many years, Professor Lau Siu Kai, in his capacity as a scholar, has served as an advisor on Hong Kong's political handover and governance. Most recently, he has stepped down from the headship of the Central Policy Unit of the Hong Kong SAR Government. Looking back, how does he take the ups and downs of Hong Kong since the political handover? What is his assessment of the relationship between the government and the pro-establishment forces? At this time of rising mass movements, how will Professor Lau reflect on elite politics which he has emphasized all along? In this Monday.COME, he will share with us his thoughts on these issues.
