We are pleased to share the exciting news that Professor Anthony Fung, Wei Lun Professor of Journalism and Communication, has received the Top Paper Award from the Game Studies Division of the International Communication Association (ICA).
The award-winning paper, “Reimaging Geographies: How Chinese Video Game Players Construct Digital Placemaking Through Gaming Landscapes,” co-authored by Prof. Fung and two collaborators, explores how Chinese gamers engage with and reinterpret digital landscapes, offering new insights into digital placemaking and spatial imagination in gaming cultures.
