Current Research

My research stands at the intersection between critical technology studies and mobilities. I explore the technology practices of people moving through transnational spaces as well as the practices of political and social actors regulating those spaces. I have contributed to theorizing space and mobility, biometrics in contexts of migration, data privacy, and AI and ethics. My research has appeared in leading journals and in edited collections, and I am the co-editor of the SAGE Handbook of Media and Migration (2019).
