Monday.COME “Generations of New Youths”
When the city’s attention was caught by the New Year Pro-Democracy Demonstration and the Anti-Expressrail Protests earlier, Chung Ying Theatre Company staged an original and soul-touching drama La Jeunesse of the May Fourth Movement. How relevant is the May Fourth Movement to us after the lapse of almost a century? How is the torch of democracy passed from one generation to the next? Do these questions still matter in contemporary Hong Kong? Mr. Ko Tin Lung, director and playwright of La Jeunesse of the May Fourth Movement, and two young actresses of the play, Ms. Wong Hui Yee and Ms. Yeung Tsz Ning, will come to show a video clip of the play and share with us their reflections.
