Minor Programme in Journalism and Communication

Minor Programme Requirement (Applicable to students admitted in 2015-16 and thereafter)

Students are required to complete a minimum of 18 units of courses as follows:

(b) 15 units of COMM courses, with at least 6 units of courses at 3000 or above level15

Explanatory Notes:

  1. Requirement for registration in Minors: Students should have obtained a pass or above in COMM1110 before registration in Minor.
  2. Registration as a Minor in Journalism and Communication in no way guarantees enrolment in courses with quotas due to limited facilities and manpower.

Minor Programme in Global Communication

Minor Programme Requirement (Applicable to students admitted in 2024-25 and thereafter)

Students are required to complete a minimum of 18 units of courses as follows:

(a) COMM1180, 1150, 21209
(b) 9 units of COMM courses, with at least 6 units of courses at 3000 or above level9

Explanatory Notes:

  1. Requirement for registration in Minors: Students should have obtained a pass or above in COMM1180, 1150, and 2120 before registration in Minor.
  2. Registration as a Minor in Global Communication in no way guarantees enrolment in courses with quotas due to limited facilities and manpower.
  3. Units taken to fulfil the requirement of the Journalism and Communication Programme (including Major Programmes, Double Major Programmes, Double Degree Options and Minor Programme) and Global Studies Programme (including Major Programme and Minor Programme) should not be used to fulfil the requirement of this Minor Programme.
