Reporting Trip to Taipei for Taiwan Presidential Election
Led by Prof. Chen Hsuan Ting and Miss Vivian Tam, a four-day reporting trip to Taipei for the Taiwan Presidential Election was held from 14 to 17 January 2016. A total of 20 final-year undergraduate students learnt about news reporting and editing skills during the trip.
The students were able to join a series of election activities and interviews, such as the rallies of the Democratic Progressive Party, People First Party and New Power Party, during the trip. They also interviewed two famous graphic designers, i.e. Mr. Aaron Nieh and Mr. Even Chen, and interacted with the Taiwanese students. Our students found both practical and theoretical journalism training enjoyable.
