Professor Francis Lee Elected ICA Fellow

Prof. Francis Lee was recently elected a Fellow of the International Communication Association (ICA). Fellow status in the International Communication Association (ICA) is primarily a recognition of distinguished scholarly contribution to the broad field of communication. The primary consideration for nomination to Fellow status is a documented record of scholarly achievement.

In his nomination letter, Prof. Chin-chuan Lee wrote: Prof. Francis L. F. Lee is one of the most outstanding scholars of his and other generations. He is a prominent, prolific and well-cited scholar, an active participant of international collaborative research efforts, a well-respected media columnist, and an excellent educator. He has done outstanding service to the research community and the civil society as well.

The nomination package also includes letters of support from Prof. Nick Couldry of London School of Economics and Political Science, Prof. Akiba Cohen of Tel Aviv University, Prof. Douglas McLeod of University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Prof. Joseph M. Chan of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
