Our undergraduate students continued to scoop prizes in the Campus Newspaper Awards this year. All of them were reporters and editors of our practicum magazines, namely, Varsity and U-Beat. Varsity was the big winner, which won a total of 14 prizes including “Best in News Writing” and “Best in Feature Writing”. U-Beat got 7 major awards, including “Best in Campus News Reporting”and “Best in Tech News Reporting”. The value of prizes amounted to HK$24,000.

The awards, launched by China Daily Hong Kong Edition, are in their 8th year. It is a campus journalism competition with contestants from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Mainland China.
