Our undergraduate students continued to win prizes in the Campus News Awards this year. All of them were reporters and editors of our practicum magazines, namely, Varsity and U-Beat. Varsity was the big winner, which won a total of 12 prizes including “Best in News Reporting”, “Best in Headline Writing”, “Best in Tech News Reporting”and “Best in News Video Reporting”. U-Beat got two awards which are both about tech news reporting. The value of prizes amounted to HK$13,000.

The awards, launched by China Daily Hong Kong Edition, are in their 10th year. It is a campus journalism competition with contestants from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Mainland China.
