Our undergraduate students continued to win prizes in the Campus News Awards this year. All of them were reporters and editors of our practicum magazines, namely, U-Beat and Varsity. Both practicums won three awards each. The awards included “Best in News Video Reporting,” “Best in Tech News Reporting,” “Best in Feature Writing,” “Best in Arts and Culture News Reporting,” and so on. They were awarded a cash prize of $4,000 in total.
The awards have been launched by China Daily Hong Kong since 2012. It is a campus journalism competition with contestants from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Mainland China.
