Our undergraduate students continued to win prizes in the Campus News Awards this year. All of them were reporters and editors of our practicum magazines, namely, Varsity and U-Beat. Varsity was the big winner, which won a total of 9 prizes including “Best in Feature Writing”, “Best in Headline Writing” and “Best in Business News Reporting”. U-Beat got one award, namely, “Best in Tech News Reporting”. The value of prizes amounted to HK$12,000.

The awards, launched by China Daily Hong Kong Edition, are in their 9th year. It is a campus journalism competition with contestants from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Mainland China.
