Beijing Study Trip

In collaboration with Beijing Normal University, the School organises a two-week study tour to Beijing every year in order to equip students with technical skills in creative media and multimedia production which are not covered in regular courses; this year’s tour will be held from 25 Jun to 8 Jul. Beijing Normal University’s School of Arts and Communication offers seven majors of study including Art and Design, Art Theory, Calligraphy, Music, Dance, Movie and Television Media, and Digital Media Art. During the tour, participants attend intensive training workshops and visit organisations to learn about the creative media industry and new technology.

The themes of the recent study tours are virtual reality (2017), game and animation (2018) and film post-production (2019). This year’s theme will be XR (Extended Reality), a collective form of VR, AR and immersive experience. The tour includes workshops, organizational visit, visit to teamLab, and cultural exchange with staff and students of Beijing Normal University.
