Day Camp for Secondary School Students

A day camp, namely “Finding張佬——中大新傳體驗日”, was held on 4 February 2023 for 50 secondary school students. The participants were all senior form students from local secondary schools. A wide range of activities, such as student sharing, news reporting game, photography workshop, TV studio and radio studio exploration activities, were offered to let participants have a taste of journalism and communication education. The participants enjoyed the activities very much. Some of them even expressed that they would like to study our undergraduate programmes in the future.

Current undergraduate students were invited to share their learning experiences at the School.

Participants learnt to make a short video advertisement.

Participants learnt how to edit a video using the professional facilities in the Multimedia Laboratory.

Our Teaching Assistant introduced basic camera functions in the Blackbox Studio.

Participants played a radio drama in the School’s radio studio.

Participants learnt how to run a news programme in the TV Studio.
