Global Communication Seoul Study Tour 2025

As part of the requirements under the course Current Issues in Global Communication, our Year 2 Global Communication major students visited Seoul on a 6-day tour. The group visited some prominent Korean news organizations, including YTN, SBS, Arirang and JoongAng Daily. They were also greeted by the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE), who shared information on projects that the organization had been doing in promoting Korean culture. Apart from these official media entities, the group also paid visits to two NGOs that were run by individuals who advocate human rights and work on projects focusing on issues such as the labour law in the Korean media industry. Students were able to gain insights on the Korean media industry from various perspectives.
