Postgraduate Study Tour to United Kingdom 2017

Led by Prof. Mike Wong and Dr. Allan Au, who have wide experiences in advertising and journalism respectively, the 16-day Study Tour to United Kingdom, organized by School of Journalism and Communication, gave an unique experience to 24 postgraduate students from different majors.

In UK, students not only visited companies, organizations and media groups such as Wieden+Kennedy and System 1 Research and BBC, but also had real conversations with senior professionals such as Sir John Hegarty, the founder of Bartle Bogle Hegarty and Mr. Miles Young, the ex-global CEO of Ogilvy & Mather. The profound and interesting discussions about different industries sparkled intelligence and also increased the value of this tour. In addition, students also experienced pure English culture by visiting museums and Warner Brothers Studio, taking the graffiti tour and walking around London on free days.

Cities such as London, Oxford, Manchester and Cambridge all walked out from students’ former imagination and became one of the most beautiful memories in their postgraduate life. Just like one student from Corporate Communication said, “with such wonderful friends, teachers and experience, this is the best study tour ever”.
