Study Tour to United Kingdom

Led by Prof. Anthony Fung and Mr. David Wong, 24 postgraduate students from School of Journalism and Communication went to London and Oxford during May 1-12, 2014 for a 12-day intensive study tour.

During their stay in London, they visited four international integrated advertising, creative and PR agencies – VCCP, FCB Inferno, Saatchi & Saatchi and Weber Shandwick. They also had the chance to talk to local professionals from leading British media organisations such as Financial Times, The Telegraph, BBC and Thomson Reuters. In the last few days in Oxford, they visited the Programme in Comparative Media Law and Policy (PCMLP) and Oxford Internet Institute for academic exchange, later, went to Stonehenge, Bath and Windsor Castle to enjoy the historical sightseeing.

One student said: “After visiting the media organisations in the UK, my impression for media can never be the same.” We believe all students returned with their pockets full of material and intellectual satisfaction.
