Undergraduate Study Tour to Beijing 2019

In collaboration with Beijing Normal University, the School organised a two-week study tour to Beijing for 28 selected undergraduate students from four practicums from 15-28 May 2019. Thanks to Youth Development Committee’s support, more students were able to join the tour and participate in the training this year.

During their stay in Beijing, students took part in three intensive workshops to learn cutting-edge post-production technology including BlackMagic Davinci Resolve, music creation and sound mixing. After the workshops, students went to visit the State Production Base of China Film Group (中影數字製作基地), 北京唱片廠, etc. to learn the post-production work flow first-hand.

In order to let participants immerse in the local culture, the School arranged short trips to cultural and historical sites including the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, 798 Art Zone, etc. There are always a lot to see, to learn in the Mainland China thanks to the rich cultural heritage and recent rapid development. The School aims to provide more of this kind of experiential learning opportunity to students in the future.
