Other School Activities
Date APR 3 2019

Led by Prof. Sara Liao, a group of undergraduate and postgraduate students visited The Foreign Correspondents’ Club, Hong Kong (FCC) on 3 April 2019. FCC Board members Sarah Stewart, George Russell, Genavieve Alexander and Daniel Ten Kate welcomed the delegation and had a fireside chat with students on challenges and opportunities faced by foreign correspondents in Hong Kong, how they see press freedom in Hong Kong, the development of Hong Kong international news outlets in recent years, etc. George Russell, FCC’s Correspondent Governor, gave students a tour of the beautiful and historical Central building after the talk.

Participating students said the visit was very inspiring and helpful. The in-depth conversations with Board members encouraged them to view things differently and to develop new paradigms to understand the journalism industry.
