Our PhD student CHOW Pui Ha Carol has her paper “Image Capital, Field and the Economies of Signs and Space” won the best paper award (among all student and faculty papers) in the Philosophy of Communication Division of the International Communication Association (ICA). This is an exceptional achievement. The paper was automatically accepted for publication in the journal The Communication Review of the Taylor and Francis publishers.
Carol’s another submission to the Mass Communication Division of the ICA, “Flows, Power and Globalization: A case study of Canadian-China coproduction”, has also been accepted for presentation in the upcoming ICA Annual Conference to be held on 24-28 May 2012 at Phoenix, Arizona, the U.S.
