To enable students to have a good understanding of the new trends and challenges being faced by professionals in media and communication industry, the Postgraduate Programmes held a series of talks under the name of “Conversations With Communicators” in the beginning of the first semester in 2012. Three distinguished leaders were invited to give talks at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
The talk series was kicked off by Mr. Robert Wu, President and Founder of Eslite Bookstore on 8 September 2012 in Cheng Yu Tung Building. Mr. Wu shared his thoughts on life and development with over 600 students, staff and general public. Some of the audience enjoyed the live broadcast in the lecture theatres.
In the following Thursday evening, Mr. Shih Wing Ching, Founder of free newspaper am730, shared his vision and aspirations in establishing the newspaper. In the third Thursday evening, Mr. Tony Tsoi, one of the Founders of news website “House News”, introduced his social media world. The three talks were moving and inspiring.
