The Salzburg Academy on Media & Global Change is a unique three-week summer program on media literacy and freedom of expression for university faculty and undergraduate and graduate students from around the world. The programme was organized by the University of Maryland, USA.
With the sponsorship from the Journalism Education Foundation, Hong Kong and the School of Journalism and Communication, Melanie Leung (Undergraduate, Year 2) and Lisa Tam (MPhil, Year 1) participated in the Year 2011 summer programme from 24 July to 13 August 2011. Both students found the experience extremely rewarding.
