Six students of the School’s M.Sc. in New Media programme won the “1st Runner up” and “2nd Runner Up” in the 2023 CUHK Data Hack. The event was organized by the CUHK Library. A few pre-hackathon workshops were organized, covering skills on data scraping, processing, visualisation and deployment. Students and staff members applied knowledge and skills from what they have learnt in the pre-hackathon workshops about data mining to solve the current problem in the Post-COVID-19 era.
