Day Camp for Secondary School Students 2024

The annual day camp “Finding張佬——中大新傳體驗日” was held on 3 February 2024 for over 50 secondary school students. A wide range of activities, including news anchoring game, photography workshop, TV studio and radio studio exploration activities, were offered to let participants have a taste of journalism and communication education.

Teachers and students from our four practicums also introduced the programme structure and shared their experiences in communication studies, as well as their aspirations for the future, which greatly broadened the horizons of the participants.

Current undergraduate students were invited to share their learning experiences at the School.

After shooting, participants edited their videos in the Multimedia Laboratory.

Participants played a radio drama in the School’s radio studio.

Our undergraduate student introduced basic camera functions in the Blackbox Studio.

Participants learnt how to run a news programme in the TV Studio under our student’s guidance.

Participants were divided into groups to engage in various activities, and mingled with our School’s undergraduate students.

More than 50 secondary school students participated in the day camp this year. After the event, some participants expressed that they would like to study our undergraduate programmes in the future.
