The Chinese Journal of Communication held an editorial board meeting at the 2023 ICA in Toronto

The Chinese Journal of Communication held an editorial board meeting at the 2023 Annual Conference of the International Communication Association (ICA) on 26 May 2023 in Toronto, Canada. The Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Francis Lee, chaired the meeting. Nineteen associate editors, book review editor, and editorial advisory board members attended the meeting.

Prof. Francis Lee introduced the number of submissions, the origin of authors, acceptance rates, most read and most cited articles, special issue arrangements, and the Journal’s impact factors. The advisory board members made some suggestions for the development of the Journal, especially examining the impact of open smart AI assistants on academic journals.

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Francis Lee presented the outstanding service award to Prof. Clement So who is the founding associate editor and retired from the editorial team in January 2023. Prof. Clement So gave a short speech to thank his colleagues and shared the history of the Journal.
